Harrison Roach is World Champ!

Congratulations Harrison Roach :: 2022 WSL World Longboard Champ

Harrison Roach just won the Cuervo Longboard Classic in Malibu, clinching the world longboard title over Hawaiian Kaniela Stewert. Kaniela was world #1 on the rankings going into the event, which came down to the pair in the final together in perfect 3-4ft waves. Whoever won that heat, won the crown! In the end, it came down to under half a point between Harrison and Kaniela, with Harrison nailing an 8.8 on his first ride that made all the difference when the final hooter blew.

MASSIVE CONGRATULATIONS HARRISON!

Stand tall in victory.

The win has to be all the more sweeter for Harrison after finishing 2nd in the world to Joel Tudor last year. He kicked off the 2022 to a cracking start by winning the first tour event in Sydney, but then lost early at the Vans Duct Tape Invitational in Huntington mid-year. This win puts him firmly in longboarding’s hall of fame, with a lot more yet to come.
